The latest 2025 NFL mock draft from ESPN has former Tennessee Vols defensive lineman Omarr Norman-Lott joining a popular former UT wide receiver in the NFL.

ESPN's Field Yates has Norman-Lott going to the New York Giants with the No. 99 overall selection (round three) in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Former Vols wide receiver Jalin Hyatt, who left Tennessee before Norman-Lott transferred to UT from Arizona State, just wrapped up his second season with the Giants.

From ESPN: The Giants already have an elite interior presence in Dexter Lawrence II, but they lack a lot of depth. And Norman-Lott could contribute early in the pass rush (9.5 sacks in the past two seasons).

There are some folks who believe that Norman-Lott is a first round talent, but there are some concerns about his low usage at Tennessee (Norman-Lott averaged just 17.3 snaps per game with the Vols in 2024).

Those concerns, however, are likely misguided. Norman-Lott was part of a heavy defensive line rotation at Tennessee, which was utilized to keep players fresh.

One viable concern, though, that could impact where Norman-Lott lands in the draft is his medical history.

AtoZ Sports NFL draft insider Ryan Roberts reported last month that Norman-Lott had a knee issue that was flagged at the NFL scouting combine.

Coming out of the week, there is some concerning injury news surrounding Norman-Lott. There is an issue around his right knee that came up during his medical check, and it was red flagged because of it. It also appears that this may be a chronic issue, which could seriously hurt his long-term outlook. – Ryan Roberts

Norman-Lott played in all 13 games for the Volunteers in 2024.
