It's officially summertime, which usually means not all that much is going on in the world of college football. But as we all know, the recruiting machine never stops churning. And that's especially true for Josh Heupel and the Tennessee Volunteers. The Big Orange haven't gotten a new commitment in quite some time but they currently have the No. 12 class for 2023 and the Vols' staff has been working tirelessly behind the scenes to secure pledges from some of the top prospects in America.
One of those top prospects is 5-star wide receiver Carnell Tate. The No. 3 wideout in the 2023 class, Tate is an excellent athlete that would be a massive get for Tennessee's fledgling recruiting efforts. Last week, Tate indicated that he will be announcing his school choice soon and according to on3.com, UT is the leader in the clubhouse for his commitment.
