Tennessee Vols assistant coach Mike Ekeler, who coaches outside linebackers and special teams, had a "mic drop" moment on Wednesday while speaking to reporters.

Ekeler met with the media after Tennessee's practice and after speaking for around 13 minutes, the longtime college football assistant spoke about "wannabes" — people who talk the talk but don't walk the walk.

"I was driving to work last week and I was thinking about it, 99 percent of the people in this world want to be great," said Ekeler. "They're called wannabes — one percent work to be great. [I'll] drop the mic on that."

That might sound a little cliché, but Ekeler is right. Whether it's sports, school, jobs, or life in general, there are constantly folks talking about what they're going to do.

Talk, though, is cheap. You either put up or shut up — there is no in between.

Ekeler gets that as well as anyone. And he's working hard to make sure he instills that mindset in the players he's coaching at Tennessee.
