Devin McCourty is known as one of the best defensive players in New England Patriots history. However, one thing he will never be known for is his head of hair. 

And he can now relate to another Boston star.

The Boston Celtics are having a historic season, and just got passed the Miami Heat in the opening round of the 2024 NBA Playoffs. And a huge figure in that win was Celtics guard Derrick White. 

One account compared White's statistics from this year's playoffs to last year. And it is quite a difference. 

Last year, White had a full head of hair as the Celtics came close to the NBA finals, but ultimately lost to Heat in seven games in the Eastern Conference Finals. 

However, coming into the 2023-24 season, White decided to go for a new look. He showed up, having shaved off all his hair. 

And this season, he has been unstoppable.

In response, the Celtics commented, "Bald D-White is different."

And McCourty was next up. 

"Been trying to tell ppl… life is better Bald!!! Bald Gang!!!," McCourty wrote on his Instagram story. 

Seems McCourty might have been on to something all this time.
