Stefon Gilmore was not a fan of how Bill Belichick was portrayed in 'The Dynasty' series on Apple TV. And he made sure to express his thoughts about it, along with coming to his former coach's defense on social media.
"Just watched The Dynasty. Bill was the greatest coach I’ve ever been around. Don’t let that fool you. I’ll never forget we were a predominantly man team during the 2018 season all the way up to the Super Bowl. When we played the Rams we switched to Zone," Gilmore first tweeted.
But that wasn't all he had to say.
"No coach would switch what they did all season in a big game like that," Gilmore added.
And he followed it up, writing "Or Him telling me to play trail technique in buffalo because the Quarterback can’t throw against the wind when i was following a big time receiver. If you ever played corner that’s not a good feeling playing trail technique. I shut the WR down to 0 catches."
Belichick has taken a lot of heat over the past few seasons, due to the Patriots' serious decline after quarterback Tom Brady left. And many of his former players are tired of hearing that.
He is clearly a future Hall of Famer, having led the Patriots to six Super Bowl championships over his 24 years in New England.
And many of the players who witnessed that firsthand want to make sure that people know exactly the type of coach Belichick is.
Gilmore joins Julian Edelman, Matthew Slater, Devin McCourty, and even Vince Wilfork who have all publicly spoke out and defended their coach.

This seems to be the consensus.
