The New England Patriots reported for the first day of mandatory minicamp on Monday, with a few notable faces missing from the practice fields.
Defensive tackle Lawrence Guy did not report, and ESPN's Mike Reiss reports that it is believed to be contract related.
Guy is entering his seventh season with the Patriots, having appeared in 93 games with 186 solo tackles (341 total tackles) with 10.5 sacks during his time in New England. Guy had previous stints with the Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts, Los Angeles Chargers, and Baltimore Ravens
Trent Brown was also not at minicamp, but MassLive's Mark Daniels reported that it was due to his flight being cancelled due to a hail storm. Brown was also missing for OTAs.
