The New England Patriots season opener is set to kick off in less than 90 minutes. 

It will be the Patriots hosting the reigning NFC Champions, the Philadelphia Eagles, in a tough matchup to start the year.

And New England is missing two starters on the offensive line, leaving an opportunity for the rookies to step up.

Observations:

With both Cole Strange and Mike Onwenu out, the Patriots are without their starting guards. Rookie Antonio Mafi could get the start at one of the spots today, while rookies Sidy Sow and Jack Andrews along with Vederian Lowe and Tyrone Wheatley Jr. are being considered for the other.
