The Patriots missed out on signing wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins

The wait is finally over.

DeAndre Hopkins has decided what team he will be joining for the upcoming season.

The star wide receiver is reportedly signing with the Tennessee Titans, A to Z Sports' Doug Kyed reports.

This comes after the news that the Patriots were high on the list to sign Hopkins, after the receiver visited with New England in June.

ESPN's Dianna Russini reports that the deal is expected to be a two year deal, with a base of $12M with incentives in year 1 to get to $15M. It should be completed over the next few days.

This comes prior to training camp, despite some speculation that the receiver might hold off until after the start.

Hopkins was suspended for the first six games of last season due to a violation of the league's performance-enhancing drugs policy, he still played last season finishing with 64 receptions for 717 total yards and three touchdowns.

This is a huge addition for the Titans, landing one of the top free agents.

Titans training camp begins July 25, and Hopkins’ will be working with quarterback Ryan Tannehill and new offensive coordinator Tim Kelly.
