Week 1: A possible game-winning drive ends on a missed 4th down catch from Kayshon Boutte. Week 2: A possible game-winning drive ends on a failed 4th conversion by Cole Strange.
How can the Patriots be better at avoiding these 4th-and-miracle scenarios towards the end of games?
The answer here is simple: stop with the slow starts. The Patriots have been digging holes for themselves due to the poor starts that allow their competitors to jump out to early leads. Because of that, New England is scrambling to get themselves back in the game and complete the comeback. They wouldn't need these 4th-and-miracle situations if they are able to get ahead earlier in the game.

Are there any good OT's in college that the Patriots might be eyeballing for the 2024 NFL Draft?
You have to imagine that offensive tackle is going to be a priority entering the 2024 draft, not only because of the offensive line woes but also because they do not have a starting right tackle or left tackle under contract past this season. It's only a few weeks into the college football season, and a lot can change, but the consensus OT1 is Penn State's Olumuyiwa Fashanu. After that, it becomes murky, but here are some additional names that I expect to go towards the top of the draft:
OT Joe Alt, Notre Dame.
OT J.C Latham, Alabama.
OT Graham Barton, Duke.
OT Amarius Mims, Georgia.
New England will likely be in position to grab one of these guys (or another tackle that ascends), so keep your eyes on some of these names as the college football season progresses. – Tanner James

What's the odds of us trading Mac (Jones) and Ezekiel (Elliott) for a decent quarterback?
I don't think this would happen. For one, Elliott is only on a one-year deal with the Patriots so that wouldn't be a likely trade. And for Jones, this is being viewed as a make-or-break year for the third-year quarterback. If he performs well and is able to overcome the slow start, Jones would likely stick around for a bit longer in New England. If it isn't the bounce back year he wanted, then I'm not sure he would be enough to get another quarterback.
Derrick D. Jones
What's wrong with the O-Line?
Injuries have been a major problem for the offensive line to start the season, but it seems things are trending upwards. Trent Brown told the Boston Globe's Christopher Price that he "hopes" to play this Sunday after sitting out last week with a concussion. He has been a limited participant this week in practice, but with him back, along with Cole Strange and Mike Onwenu, New England has its main starting core back.

When will a WR1 be a priority to help this offense move forward?
I want the answer to this question as badly as all of you do. Unfortunately, I can't provide an answer with any factual backing. However, if you're looking for a personal opinion, I would say that acquiring an elite receiving prospect isn't a priority under the Belichick regime. It might take new management or Belichick's hand being forced by a push from the top-down (Robert or Jonathan Kraft) to make an elite playmaker a priority. Pure speculation.– Tanner James

Is this BBs last season to "prove" himself?
Bill Belichick has already proven himself, and although he often does things that many question and are unsure of, sometimes those things have led to favorable results. Everyone knew that the post-Brady era was going to be a rebuild, and while it's taking a little longer than fans would have wanted, he's still one of the best coaches in the league and that title isn't going away.

What happens if the Patriots go 0-5?
That would be bad. I am not sure anything imminent would happen, if that is what you're asking. – Tanner James
Robert J. Wagner
What do you think of the Will Grier signing? Surprised at all?
Grier is an interesting prospect. Truthfully, he hasn't been given many opportunities to prove himself on the field. That being said, the fans who hope to unearth an elite QB are reaching. He must be on the 53-man roster for at least three games, according to CBA rules, so he'll be around for some time. I think it's smart to bring him into the QB room and let him compete with Zappe for the QB2 position, especially considering Zappe's poor summer. – Tanner James

Are they picking up Mac Jones 5th year option? If so would he want to stay?
I believe much of his future rides on this season, whether it's fair or not. Through two games, I think the team would be relatively happy with his individual performance given the obstacles placed in front of him. They have to make their decision before May 2024, but my gut tells me they'll pick up his option and continue to build around Jones. Another noteworthy aspect is that Belichick doesn't have much time left in his career to restart, and I do believe that will play a factor.- Tanner James
Patriots place cornerback Marcus Jones on injured reserve
This is a major hit to the Patriots secondary.
