Matthew Judon defends teammate after arrest

Matthew Judon proved that he is a true teammate and leader.

The New England Patriots linebacker spoke out in defense of fellow defenseman Jack Jones, who was arrested on Friday evening for trying to bring two loaded firearms on the plane at Boston Logan International Airport.

Jones reportedly is "facing serious charges," with the possibility of prison time.

Just over a month prior to his arrest, Jones posted on Twitter after Ja Morant showed a firearm on his social media twice in the span on four months. He received an eight-game suspension for the first time, and following the second incident, the NBA launched an investigation.

Jones was very outspoken about Morant's actions.

'@JaMorant dumb.. you letting social media and yo pride ruin yo real money. Put them guns down and run that money up. Make one of yo homies sign up for security or concealed carry if you feel like you need it that bad.. but you the bread winner you gotta start acting like it..", Jones wrote on Twitter.

His arrest caused many to shine a light to this tweet, something which Judon did not appreciate. Because of that, he spoke up for the 25-year-old cornerback.

Dov Kleinman posted a screenshot of Jones' tweet on top of the report that he had been arrested, writing "This tweet from 30 day ago didn't age well for Jack Jones."

Judon replied directly to the tweet.

“Don’t let someone’s low light be you own high light,” Judon wrote. “We help this turns out better for the kid.”

Judon showed clear support for Jones and clearly hopes for the best for the young cornerback going forward.

Jones is being charged with two counts of each of the following offenses:

– Possession of a concealed weapon in a secure area of an airport.

– Possession of ammunition without a Firearm Identification Card.

– Unlawful possession of a firearm.

– Carrying a loaded firearm.

– Possession of a large-capacity feeding device.

He is set to be arraigned in East Boston District Court sometime this week.
