FOXBOROUGH – Robert Kraft has six Super Bowl wins, but that's not enough for the New England Patriots owner.
With the 2023 season fast approaching, Kraft has set high goals for the team, with one at the forefront of his mind.
So what might that goal be?
Winning “Number 7."
The Patriots last Super Bowl victory came in 2018 against the Los Angeles Rams, with clear struggles since Tom Brady left New England in 2020. In Mac Jones' rookie season, the Patriots earned a spot in the playoffs, but fell to the Buffalo Bills in the wild card round.
In his second season, Jones took a considerable decline under the direction of Matt Patricia who was the Patriots unofficial play caller.
But now with Bill O'Brien leading the offense and notable weapons added to the roster for Jones, there is a lot of hope heading into the quarterbacks third season.
“I’m really excited for this upcoming season and training camp. I think we’ve had a great offseason,” Kraft said. “I like our draft. We probably play in the toughest division in football, but I love our team.”
The Patriots will report back to the facilities on Tuesday, July 25, with Training Camp practices occurring the following three days on the 26th, 27th and 28th.
Why did Robert Kraft give away his second favorite Super Bowl ring?
All for a good cause.
