The New England Patriots waived Yodny Cajuste on Thursday afternoon, per ESPN's Field Yates. The move clears $2.743 million in cap space.
Cajuste was drafted by the Patriots in the third round (101 overall pick) of the 2019 NFL Draft. With New England, he appeared in 17 games with five starts. Three of those starts came during Weeks 9-11 of last year.
The 6-foot-5, 310-pound tackle missed his first two seasons due to injury, having undergone quad surgery in his rookie season and a knee injury in his second.
In his final season, Cajuste suffered numerous injuries including a thumb injury that placed him on injured reserve for most of October.
The Patriots retained the offensive lineman in 2023 after tendering him as a restricted free agent.
Cajuste played college ball at West Virginia, earning the Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year in 2018 along with being named First-team All-Big 12 that same year.
