The New Orleans Saints are trying to make a dent in that division lead held by the Atlanta Falcons, who are only a game ahead of New Orleans. They can do so by beating the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football in Week 9.
The Saints need this win if they want a shot at making the playoffs because, in this division, only the winners of it will make the playoffs. That’s how bad the division is right now.

The Ravens are a good team, too, so it won’t be easy. And, they could have DeSean Jackson playing, something that would be extremely unexpected.
“If I get the call, for sure,” Jackson said when asked if he would be ready for Monday night. “I’ll be ready. It’s not my decision. I’m just here to take it day by day, and get my shape and my body in the best position to go out there and be productive.”
Jackson is going on year 15 and has been very good throughout his career. He is a savvy vet that still has a bit of juice left, and the Saints will need to prepare for that. He is a guy that can still kill you with his speed, as he was one of the premier deep-threat guys of his time.
The chances of Jackson playing on Monday rose recently, too, when it was announced Ravens receiver Rashod Bateman would miss the rest of the year.
The Saints need to be prepared for anything.
