The New Orleans Saints need defensive line help during the 2024 offseason. Free agency and the NFL Draft will both provide opportunities for them. One prospect makes a ton of sense for them, as well as plenty of other squads around the NFL.
Darius Robinson is a unique defensive prospect with a plethora of time inside and outside in the SEC. He dominated the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine, and many folks are raving around him. His athletic profile projects as intriguing for the Saints.
Robinson has played at different weights, and the Saints have always liked that in their DL players. Cameron Jordan has played inside at times in recent years, and a couple of their interior players have moved outside for some scenarios.
The Mizzou product has risen up boards over the past month and is now expected to go in the first two rounds of the draft. Don't be shocked if he goes in the top twenty picks, either.
If other edge players go before the Saints pick at 14, Robinson may headline their interest.
Additionally, if he slides, New Orleans will probably want him in the early second round. They've never been afraid to trade up, so that is certainly on the table.
