It wasn't particularly pretty on Sunday. That's how it normally goes in the preseason, though. Regardless, the New Orleans Saints notched their first win of this year's campaign with a 26-23 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

The ending was quite memorable for rookie kicker Blake Grupe. As time expired, the first-year boot knocked down a 31-yard field goal to grab the win for the Saints. Grupe is currently locked into a tough competition with veteran kicker Wil Lutz.

No matter what – the kick will be an unforgettable one for Grupe. Even in the  NFL preseason, a walk-off field goal to give your team the win has to be an electric feeling for the rookie kicker.

Overall, there were plenty of positives and negatives to take away from the win for New Orleans. Special teams were great, and Grupe put an exclamation point on that.
