Depth is an essential part of building an NFL team, and the New Orleans Saints need some in one particular area.

New Orleans is kicking their tires again on Monday by hosting former four-time Pro Bowl guard Trai Turner for a visit.

Turner was a third-round pick of the Carolina Panthers in 2014. It didn't take Turner long to establish himself as one of the best guards in the league as he made five consecutive Pro Bowls (2015-2019) during his six seasons there.

It's been a journey for Turner over the previous three seasons, though.

After being traded to the Los Angeles Chargers in 2020, Turner was released the following March. He logged nine starts for them.

Turner signed a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2021 and started all 17 games. Last season, Turner played in 16 games with 12 starts for the Washington Commanders.

With 118 starts and over 7,000 career snaps, Turner has all the experience needed to give the Saints a quality interior presence on their offensive line. Now, it's just about if the organization and Turner can connect all the dots and get something finalized.
