The New Orleans Saints are fresh off of a big win. Fans were hoping for some more good news this week in terms of injuries, but that seems unlikely for a couple of important players.

Wide receiver Michael Thomas and cornerback Marshon Lattimore have been on injured reserve since suffering their injuries. Both are eligible to be activated for a return to practice that comes with a 21-day window.

According to Saints head coach Dennis Allen, that seems unlikely this week.

Allen is 'hopeful' that both players can return this season, but neither will be back this week for New Orleans against the Los Angeles Rams.

Nick Underhill of NOFNetwork thinks that it's 'up in the air' whether or not Lattimore comes back this season from his ankle injury. Thomas' return seems more likely at some point this season, according to multiple sources.

The statuses of Lattimore and Thomas are worth keeping an eye on, especially if the Saints can get a win in Week 16. That would set them up nicely to clinch a playoff berth in the final two weeks of the season. Both are important pieces for New Orleans.

The Saints play the Rams on Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime Video.
