I think we can all agree that the New Orleans Saints rookie receiver Chris Olave will be winning some type of hardware when the season is over.

Whether it be offensive rookie of the year or rookie of the year, he is going home with something.

Just take a look at what he has been able to do, basically by himself on what was supposed to be the best receiving trio in the league with him, Jarvis Landry, and Michael Thomas.

Instead, it has just been Olave dominating.

There is a reason the Saints drafted him even though they had other needs. They felt like Olave shouldn't have been available, and that they couldn't let him fall to someone else.

His talent and work ethic were too good, and now we are starting to see that.

This is a franchise guy now, and he is doing it all, even when the guys in front of him go out.

"Yeah, he just continues to make plays," Landry said of Olave and his role as the season has progressed.

"He shows up here every day, he works extremely hard. Coaches do a great job of putting him in positions to make plays and he continues to make them. That's who he's been and I don't expect anything less."

Olave has 760 receiving yards, which is first on the Saints and nearly 400 yards better than the next highest. He has carried the workload in the passing game and has come through time and time again.

Olave has the 11th-highest receiving yards of all players, which is something you don't see often from a rookie.

Olave will be a guy that the Saints make their number-one receiver for years to come, and could even be that guy next year with Michael Thomas healthy.

As Landry said, he is just working his tail off every day and making plays. He will continue to do that but only get better in the process.

I think even Jarvis Landry knows that.
