The New Orleans Saints have a young star in wide receiver Chris Olave. OTAs have been a highlight reel for him in many aspects. He's been consistent, but he's also shown his ceiling for the future against great competition in the Saints defense. Olave consistently beat some of the top talents on their defense, including linebacker Pete Werner.

There were plenty of young players stepping up for the Saints as well. D'Marco Jackson, Jordan Howden, and Alontae Taylor have all been defensive standouts. Olave was the biggest star, though.

Nick Underhill, of NOFNetwork, broke down some of what he saw at practice from Olave as well.

Chris Olave might have been the biggest star during OTAs this year. The wide receiver stood out in each practice, and he delivered one of his best performances Tuesday.

During 7-on-7s, he smoked linebacker Pete Werner on a wheel route for a touchdown. Then, during team drills, he got between linebacker Zack Baun and cornerback Bradley Roby for a touchdown on a similar route.

The offense has seen a large jump from last season – keep in mind its early on, though. Derek Carr has looked impressive as their new quarterback, but they have not hit the ground yet to the furthest degree yet. As for skill players, Rashid Shaheed and Juwan Johnson have both made more strides as well.

All of that being said, Olave has to be the MVP of OTAs this year. He is the Saints top receiver on the depth chart, and it is easy to be bullish about his projection this season.
