The AFC East has made a splash on Monday and the New York Jets are the latest to get in on the deal.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Dalvin Cook is planning to sign a one year deal with the Jets. The deal is reportedly worth up to $8.6 million.
Cook had a visit with the Jets earlier this month, but left without a deal.
Yet now he is joining Aaron Rodgers and the Jets who are looking to contend for a Super Bowl after picking up many top players during the offseason.
Cook was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the second round (41st overall pick) in the 2017 NFL Draft. Across six years with the Vikings, Cook appeared in 73 games with 1,282 carries for 5,993 yards and 47 touchdowns. On the receiving side, he had 221 receptions for 1,794 yards and five touchdowns.
One divisional rival also made a big signing on Monday, with the New England Patriots adding Ezekiel Elliott on a one-year deal.
With it already being a very tough division, these two additions did not make anything easier.
