For 18 of the NFL's 32 teams, their 2023 season has come to an end.

And while their season-ending prematurely is disappointing to those teams, they now know precisely what first-round pick they hold in the 2024 NFL Draft.

To celebrate the end of the regular season, below is a mock draft, including only the first-round picks that are cemented for the 2024 NFL Draft.

Mock Draft: Non-Playoff Teams

1. Chicago Bears Via Carolina Panthers: Caleb Williams, QB, USC

For the purpose of this mock, I didn't do trades, but for what it's worth, I don't think the Bears will end up trading this pick. They have the opportunity to reset their five-year rookie QB contract window and have some pretty great options to do so. I think Caleb WIlliams out of USC and Drake Maye out of North Carolina are the clear top two QBs in this class. I think both will be ranked as the top QBs on multiple team's boards. For the Bears, though, I think they would lean toward Williams and his next-level ability to create out of structure. Some have compared Williams to Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, which I don't think is a fair comparison to put on any rookie QB. But the Bears passed on Mahomes the first time and have been kicking themselves ever since.

2. Washington Commanders:
Drake Maye, QB, North Carolina

The Washington Commanders have been looking for a long-term franchise QB for so long that they've changed their team name twice since Kirk Cousins left town for the Minnesota Vikings. After a rough season, they find themselves with the 2nd pick in the draft and will finally be able to add a high-upside rookie QB. Ironically, the last time they held the 2nd pick in the draft, they used it on QB Robert Griffen III in 2012. This year they are going to end up with one of Caleb Williams or Drake Maye, in this mock, Williams went first, so Maye falls to them at two. Like I said above, I think the two will be ranked as the top QBs in this class by different teams, and I believe the Commanders will be very happy to call Maye their QB if it were to fall like this.

3. New England Patriots:
Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know QBs going 1-2-3 never happens, yada yada yada. But the way the draft fell this year, I not only think its possible that we see three QBs start the draft, I'd be surprised if they didn't. With Maye and Williams off the board, the New England Patriots land on LSU QB Jayden Daniels. The 2023 Heisman winner looks to be the quarterback that improved his draft stock the most during the 2023 collegiate season; many didn't have him on the first-round radar prior to this year. But his stellar year at LSU put his dual-threat ability on full display. No matter who the head coach for the Patriots is next year, neither Mac Jones or Bailey Zappe should be trusted as the starting QB.

4. Arizona Cardinals:
Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Ohio State

Due to how the board fell, the Arizona Cardinals are looking at an excellent chance to land Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison Jr. without having to move up to do so. With Kyler Murray returning from his torn ACL this year, drafting him a weapon like Harrison Jr. seems like a no-brainer. The NFL has been highly anticipating Harrison Jr. as a draft prospect for quite some time. One could argue that he's a better prospect than even now Cincinnati Bengals WR Jamarr Chase was when he was selected fifth overall in the 2021 NFL Draft.

5. Los Angeles Chargers:
Brock Bowers, TE, Georiga

This is when the draft really begins. I could see the Chargers going just about any direction with this pick besides QB, of course. With a new coaching staff and front office on the way for the Chargers, I gave Justin Herbert a shiny new toy on offense with Georiga TE Brock Bowers. Similar to what was said about Harrison Jr., the NFL has been excited for Bowers to make the jump to the pros for quite some time. Atlanta Falcons TE Kyle Pitts is the last TE to have this level of hype surrounding him, and due to his struggles, some may not be on board with drafting a TE this high, but giving Bowers a QB with Herbert's talent is a match made in heaven.

6. New York Giants:
Malik Nabers, WR, LSU

2023 was quite the letdown for the New York Giants. Just a year removed from winning a playoff game, they find themself picking in the top this year. They would have loved for one of the top three QBs to still be on the board here since it seems that they already regret paying Daniel Jones. But with that not happening here, I decided to grab the Giants a top WR prospect in Malik Nabers out of LSU. Nabers ability once he gets the ball in his hands is next level. And while they may have to wait another year for a top QB prospect to fall in their laps, Nabers is the type of WR that can make a QB's job easier.

7. Tennessee Titans:
Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame

The Tennesee Titans seem to have found their starting QB for the foreseeable future in Will Levis. Now, protecting him needs to be of the utmost importance. This class has two blue chip-level offensive tackle prospects with Notre Dame's Joe Alt and Penn State's Olumyiwa Fahanu. I don't think you can go wrong with selecting either of them, but I think the Titans will think Alt is the safer choice between the two and potentially the more well-rounded option.

8. Atlanta Falcons:
Rome Odunze, WR, Washington

Similar to the Giants above, the Falcons would have preferred a top QB prospect to be available to them here, but maybe they will pounce on the Chicago Bears potentially trading away Justin Fields. But no matter who the QB is, another WR opposite of Drake London would be wise. And Odunze's ability to make big contested catches was put on full display this year with Washington.

9. Chicago Bears:
Jer'Zhan Newton, IDL, Illinois

It looks like the Bears will be keeping head coach Matt Eberflus, and for his defense to reach its full potential, it needs a stud on the interior. And Illinois Jer'Zhan Newton fits that bill. I think he could be a day-one impact player for the Bears. In this mock draft, they already drafted USC's Caleb Williams. If this were to happen, getting a leader on both sides of the ball with their two first-round picks could be a home run for the Bears.

10. New York Jets:
Olumuyiwa Fashanu, OT, Penn State

The luckiest team award in this mock so far has to go to the New York Jets, as a blue-chip offensive tackle falls in their lap without a trade-up occurring. With Aaron Rodgers expected back on the field next year, protecting their veteran QB is going to have to be their priority. I think they would need to trade up to ensure a chance at either of Fashanu or Alt, but with Fashanu still on the board, they would sprint their card in and not look back.

11. Minnesota Vikings:
Dallas Turner, Edge, Alabama

Injuries piled up for the Minnesota Vikings in 2023. Derailing a talented roster from making a run at the postseason. They have an important decision to make on Kirk Cousins, who is due to become a free agent. With the top three QBs off the board here, I decided to help them fill the void of another soon-to-be free-agent edge rusher, Danielle Hunter. My top edge rusher in this class is Alabama's Dallas Turner. I believe he has top-tier pass-rusher potential, and I think he can start day one and become the Vikings defensive cornerstone.

12. Denver Broncos:
Nate Wiggins, CB, Clemson

The Broncos are entering a crucial offseason. They are planning to move off veteran QB Russell Wilson, and many wonder what other players will become expendable. However, one player I expect to stay is their top CB, Patrick Surtain II; grabbing him a suitable running mate would make a lot of sense for the Broncos. My top CB in this class is Clemson's Nate Wiggins. I believe he can be a team's top CB, but for Denver, developing him beside Surtain II would form one of the best CB duos in the NFL. Having two elite CBs is a nice problem to have.

13. Las Vegas Raiders:
JC Latham, OT, Alabama

The Las Vegas Raiders roster has a lot of holes, their most significant being at the QB position, but with none of the top three prospects available here, I went with another big need on their offensive line. They would prefer one of Alt of Fashanu. But with both gone before their pick here, I decided to go with Alabama's JC Latham. Latham is a plug-and-play right tackle that would be an immediate upgrade for the Raiders. While they figure out their next steps at QB, I have them grabbing one of the best-run blockers in this draft to build on their strength in the run game with Josh Jacobs.

14. New Orleans Saints:
Taliese Fuaga OT, Oregon State

Even after Tom Brady retired, the New Orleans Saints couldn't take back the reigns on the NFC South. Their roster has multiple holes, and while Derek Carr wasn't great in his first season, they likely have to roll with him for at least one more year. Getting a solid offensive lineman would make sense to try and get the most out of Carr no matter how little time it may be. A player like Oregon State's Taliese Fuaga seems like a great fit to me. Fuaga is a powerful run blocker with long arms. I think he can fit either side of the line and could be an immediate upgrade for the Saints.

15. Indianapolis Colts:
Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama

After a Week 18 loss to the Houston Texans, the Indianapolis Colts season ended in heartbreaking fashion. After being so close to the postseason, they probably don't feel too far away from reaching the playoffs next season. One of the areas they need to address is their secondary. They have one of the younger secondary in the NFL, and the room being so thin became an issue this year. The CB class has some solid first-round guys, but it is one of the thinner positions after that. So it would make sense to target it early. A player like Alabama's Kool-Aid McKinstry would fit the size metrics Chris Ballard usually prioritizes at the position and can come in right away and start opposite of Juju Brents.

16. Seattle Seahawks:
Laiatu Latu, Edge, UCLA

Another 2022 playoff team that fell short in 2023 Is the Seattle Seahawks. I think fans are starting to realize that getting a rookie QB is in their near future after all. But with the top three gone by this pick, I have them filling a different need with UCLA's edge rusher, Laiatu Latu. Latu projects as a high-upside day-one starter in the NFL. His bendyness and athleticism is going to lead to many in the NFL wanting to add Latu to their defense. And the Seahawks may be able to cash in on missing the playoffs and land a high-end prospect.

17. Jacksonville Jaguars:
Cooper DeJean, CB, Iowa

The Jacksonville Jaguars missing the playoffs is one of the biggest surprises of the 2023 season. And while they will have some things to figure out on the offensive side of the ball, adding reliable players to their secondary is going to be a must for the Jaguars. A player like Iowa's Cooper DeJean makes sense for Jacksonville because he has a versatile skill set and will probably be considered a safety and a corner by different teams. The Jaguars could look to deploy DeJean in a hybrid role, which I believe is the best case for his pro career.

18. Cincinnati Bengals:
Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia

Another team that saw injuries derail their season is the Cincinnati Bengals. The most notable being QB Joe Burrow ending his season on IR. Even after losing Burrow, they were able to fight and claw their way to almost making the playoffs but fell just short as the first team out, which gives them the 18th pick in the draft. Protecting Burrow should be the focus of this pick, and while multiple talented tackles have already come off the board, Amarius Mims out of Georgia is the pick here. Mims was a preseason consensus top-10 pick by most, but injuries derailed his season, and he has fallen down most boards as a result. The Bengals could take the risk here and possibly end up with one of the best players in this entire draft at a position of need.
