My newest and largest big board of the year is out now. I shared my top 200 players in the 2024 NFL Draft, and now I'll be releasing my positional rankings for each position.
This year's TE class is headlined by Brock Bowers, a player many in the NFL space have been anxiously awaiting to make the leap to the pro level for quite some time. But this class has some other intriguing options you may not know as much about quite yet.
Below are my top 15 TEs in the 2024 NFL Draft class, including one player that would require a position change.
2024 NFL Draft TE Rankings
1. Brock Bowers, Georiga
2. Ja'Tavion Sanders, Texas
3. Theo Johnson, Penn State
4. Johnny Wilson, Florida State

If you also read my WR rankings for the 2024 NFL Draft, you probably notice that Johnny Wilson appears on both lists. Wilson will most likely begin his NFL career at WR, and I think he can be productive there, but I think his ceiling as a player is much higher at TE. Let's begin with the obvious: he has the size for it at 6'6" and 236 lbs. Many will fight him moving to TE because he seemingly has the speed to pair with his size after running an impressive 4.52 40-yard dash for a player as large as he is at WR. As a straight-line runner, his speed isn't an issue, but it is an issue on tape once he is forced to change direction by a defender or if he gets stuffed in press coverage at the line of scrimmage. Wilson struggles to regain his top speed and becomes a non-factor in the play.
He also shockingly wasn't used as a jump ball target much at Florida State, which could just be because his QB Jordan Travis looked Keon Coleman's way so often. But Florida State choosing not to give a player with as large of a catch radius that Wilson has more 50/50 ball chances is something to monitor for sure. Again, I think Wilson CAN play WR, but I don't think he will thrive as a WR. At TE, I think he would immediately have the 2nd highest ceiling of any TE in this class, only behind Brock Bowers. Letting him draw matchups against LBs and Ss as opposed to CBs opens up so much more possibilities for Wilson. We got to see this live at the Senior Bowl even, with Wilson struggling in one-on-ones against CBs but dominating just about every time a safety lined up against him.
5. Ben Sinnott, Kansas State
6. Jared Wiley, TCU
7. Jaheim Bell, Florida State
8. Erick All, Iowa
9. Dallin Holker, Colorado State
10. Tip Reiman, Illinois

On top of having one of the coolest names at the position in this class, Illinois TE Tip Reiman is an intriguing prospect. He is one of if not the best blocker in the class at the position, which is something multiple teams will prioritize when looking to draft a TE in the middle to late rounds. But he also is a superb athlete who crushed his testing this cycle with a 4.64 40-yard dash, a 7.02 three-cone, a 4.26 shuttle, and a 10'1" broad jump. Reimann's blocking ability will get him on the field early, but his athleticism will have teams projecting what type of weapon he can become with pro coaching.
11. Cade Stover, Ohio State
12. McCallan Castles, Tennessee
13. Tanner McLachlan, Arizona
14. Brevyn Spann-Ford, Minnesota
15. AJ Barner, Michigan
