2025 NFL Draft Mailbag: What to do with Jalen Milroe, drafting for the Tennessee Titans, and the draft range for Armand Membou

It is finally here, folks. The NFL and College Football seasons are officially over, and that means we shift our focus to the 2025 NFL Draft class. The All-Star circuit is already behind us, and the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine is coming up quickly, as is the Pro Day circuit.

As we continue to get to know this 2025 class on a deeper level, I will continue to open up the conversation for a mailbag. Some of the questions that were submitted this week included some about Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe, Missouri offensive lineman Armand Membou, as well as drafting for the Tennessee Titans and New England Patriots.

What to make of Jalen Milroe

There are a lot of people who don’t love having these conversations because some players find it disrespectful to suggest a quarterback should change positions. In the case of Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe, there are several NFL teams that do like the tools he has at quarterback a lot. He does have a very strong arm, and a passing skill set that can be successful if harnessed properly.

I would, however, be lying completely if I said that there wasn’t some interest by others at various positions. There are multiple teams that see legitimate upside at running back, but nobody knows what his willingness is to consider a potential shift. At over 6-1 and 220-plus pounds, Milroe is a legitimate athlete with potential 4.3 speed and explosiveness. Milroe will more than likely get a chance to fail at quarterback before he ever has to contemplate that possibility.

Drafting for the Titans

For me, the Tennessee Titans' strategy comes down to two things. The first thing you need to see is whether you can trade that first overall selection. The Titans need a quarterback but if they aren't in love with anyone on the board, trying to bait someone into offloading draft capital is the best case scenario. If not, I still wouldn't draft a quarterback.

If I am Tennessee and I stay foot at No. 1, I am taking Penn State pass rusher Abdul Carter. Colorado athlete Travis Hunter needs to be in the conversation as well, but ultimately, an elite defensive end is just more valuable. Abdul Carter no matter what.

Top center prospects

If you need a really good center in the 2025 NFL Draft class, then you unfortunately are probably out of luck. The best of the group appears to be Georgia standout Jared Wilson, who is just a one-year starter and an ascending player. He understands how to create and maintain leverage. Wilson has future starter written all over him.

One interesting player to watch is Missouri star Marcus Mbow, who some NFL teams view as a center prospect. There are also some that see him as an offensive guard, while others think Mbow can stick at offensive tackle. He is a very gifted athlete, and developing power to work with.

Drafting for the Patriots

If you are the New England Patriots, you are really hoping there is an early run on quarterbacks. There is a chance that one of Abdul Carter or Travis Hunter could be on the board. If they are, run the pick to the podium. The other player to watch is Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham. While not the biggest need, I think there is some legitimacy to taking the best player available.

How high can Armand Membou go?

I like Missouri offensive lineman Armand Membou, but I do not love him either. That being said, I think he will go in the first round for sure. I also wouldn't be shocked if he ends up going top 20. I think that is very possible in this class, especially with the offensive line group leaving a lot to be desired.
