The NFL Draft is just four months away. The College Football Playoff is already in full swing with a champion to be crowned within weeks. That means it's time to look ahead to the 2025 NFL Draft with the entire team of draft analysts here at A to Z Sports.
We've already been pumping out a ton of draft profiles, mock drafts, and more, but today we're launching the first edition of the A to Z Sports 2025 NFL Draft Top 100 Prospects Big Board.

This first group of players are the best of the best that the 2025 NFL Draft has to offer. You may notice there are only 13 players that fit the A to Z Sports consensus rankings "early first round" grades, despite there being 32 first round picks.
Given what we have been hearing from sources around the NFL this year's draft just simply doesn't have the normal amount of truly elite first round talents. There seems to be a bit of agreement that there's a healthy of amount late round one and early day two type players in this class, but not many elite stars.
In a class with big names like Heisman winner Travis Hunter, Shedeur Sanders (the son of Deion), and other notable early season Heisman hopefuls it might surprise some to see Abdul Carter atop this list, but that just speaks to his insane upside. He converted from off-ball linebacker to become perhaps the most dynamic edge defender in the country this season. All but one of the A to Z Sports NFL Draft analysts ranked him as the number one overall edge rusher giving him a nearly perfect grade as a prospect. He'll add layers to his pass rush arsenal and potentially become a perennial all-pro candidate.
Mason Graham (DL, Michigan) was the only real contender with Abdul Carter for the top spot on the overall 2025 NFL Draft Big Board according to our team of experts. Analysts and scouts all over the NFL are absolutely obsessed with Graham's strength, technique, and ability to take over games as a potential franchise player to build around (just like Jordan Reid of ESPN mentions in his post below).
Only two quarterbacks found themselves in tier one (Cam Ward of Miami and Shedeur Sanders of Colorado), which might seem low a year after six passers were selected inside round one but this isn't exactly a stacked quarterback class. However, there are plenty of edge rushers and defensive backs to get excited about as you'll see later in this A to Z Sports consensus Top 100 Big Board.
Late First Round Grades
14. Tyler Warren, TE Penn State (8.98)
15. Nic Scourton, EDGE Texas A&M (8.94)
16. Tyler Booker, IOL Alabama (8.91)
17. Colston Loveland, TE Michigan (8.90)
18. Mykel Williams, EDGE Georgia (8.86)
19. Emeka Egbuka, WR Ohio State (8.86)
20. Shavon Revel Jr., CB East Carolina (8.83)
21. Kenneth Grant, DL Michigan (8.65)
22. Isaiah Bond, WR Texas (8.62)
23. Derrick Harmon, DL Oregon (8.53)
24. Jalon Walker, LB Georgia (8.51)
25. Jalen Milroe, QB Alabama (8.50)
26. Deone Walker, DL Kentucky (8.42)
27. Shemar Stewart, EDGE Texas A&M (8.40)
28. Nick Emmanwori, S South Carolina (8.39)
29. Jihaad Campbell, LB Alabama (8.37)
30. Benjamin Morrison, CB Notre Dame (8.33)
31. Walter Nolen, DL Ole Miss (8.31)
32. Jonah Savaiinaea, OT Arizona (8.29)
33. Tate Ratledge, IOL (8.19)
34. LT Overton, EDGE Alabama (8.18)
35. Aireontae Ersery, OT Minnesota (8.15)
36. Josh Simmons, OT Ohio State (8.15)
37. Kaleb Johnson, RB Iowa (8.13)
38. Princely Umanmielen, EDGE Ole Miss (8.12)
39. Tyleik Williams, DL Ohio State (8.05)
40. Mike Green, EDGE Marshall (8.03)
As mentioned earlier, there seems to be a large group of "late round one" type grades not only from the team here at A to Z Sports but around the entire NFL Draft analyst community. Some of the draft experts we have spoken to would consider the first five or six players on this list be top notch first round prospects in most classes too, but there's certainly some disagreement once you get outside the first 13 or 14 players in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Tyler Warren and Colston Loveland are the two crown jewels of the tight end class this year and thus might be reached for in the middle of the first round. Both bring incredible receiving skills that could allow them to have entire offenses run through them at the NFL level.
This year is absurdly loaded at the edge defender position group. There are eight edge rushers with first round grade profiles this season (six in this tier), so expect plenty of pass rush specialists to come off the draft board early this spring. Nic Scourton, Mykel Williams, Shemar Stewart, and LT Overton don't have the key rate stats you want to see in pass rush situations but their traits are off the charts. Princely Umanmielen and Mike Green, on the other hand, have continued to rise thanks to their consistent and dominant win rates mixed with immense pressure and sack success.
There may also be a run of trench talents at the end of round one running into round two. The number of round one-two turn grades for offensive line and defensive line prospects is quite a bit more than usual. Several offensive tackles have a couple imperfections, but boast solid translatable traits to play both tackle and guard. This defensive tackle group could also be special given their athleticism and versatility.
Early Day Two Grades
41. Emery Jones, OT LSU (7.95)
42. Jahdae Barron, CB Texas (7.93)
43. Trey Amos, CB Ole Miss (7.92)
44. Quincy Riley, CB Louisville (7.86)
45. Azareye'h Thomas, CB Florida State (7.82)
46. Tre Harris, WR Ole Miss (7.82)
47. Maxwell Hairston, CB Kentucky (7.81)
48. Harold Fannin, TE Bowling Green State (7.78)
49. Carson Beck, QB Georgia (7.75)
50. Cameron Williams, OT Texas (7.71)
51. Jaxson Dart, QB Ole Miss (7.68)
52. Quinn Ewers, QB Texas (7.68)
53. Landon Jackson, EDGE Arkansas (7.68)
54. Evan Stewart, WR Oregon (7.66)
55. Omarion Hampton, RB North Carolina (7.66)
56. Danny Stutsman, LB Oklahoma (7.63)
57. Quinshon Judkins, RB Ohio State (7.57)
58. Donovan Jackson, IOL Ohio State (7.55)
59. Xavier Watts, S Notre Dame (7.52)
The cornerback depth starts to show once we exit the consensus Top 40 of this 2025 NFL Draft class. Trey Amos wins with incredibly fun physicality. Quincy Riley continues to rise among our team as we dig deeper into his progression over the last few seasons. Azareye'h Thomas and Maxwell Hairston seem to have a mixed bag of opinions in terms of their long-term starting upside, but they grade out as strong day two options overall.
The tier two and three quarterbacks may dictate the direction of early day two in the 2025 NFL Draft. Once the athletic upside of Jalen Milroe leaves the board teams may start to pick up their favorite day two quarterback profiles from the bunch. Jaxson Dart has the best meaningful metrics and balance to his game between his passing and mobility. Quinn Ewers has been battling through injuries for much of his career, but his best play looks like an early round quarterback. As for Carson Beck, although he's just had surgery to repair his UCL, our team and some scouts around the league still like his chances in the NFL.

This last big tier in the Top 100 Consensus Big Board Rankings here at A to Z Sports speaks to the concentrated depth at certain positions, but perhaps the overall lack of depth this class seems to offer (as of this writing). Our collective group of analysts got to about 90 players with true day one and two grades (7.00-10.00) before things start to dip.
However, it's hard to tell if it's truly a lower number of day two graded players or just significant disagreement not only among our team but those we've talked to around the league.
One thing that likely stands out right away to many readers familiar with recent NFL Drafts is the lack of wide receiver depth as well.
Our NFL Draft team here at A to Z Sports only has 12 wide receivers ranked inside our Top 100 players (13 if we include Travis Hunter). Over the past five years there has been an average of 16 wide receivers selected inside the Top 100 NFL Draft picks. The last time 12 or fewer wide receivers were selected in the first 100 picks was 2018, a class that ultimately gave us D.J. Moore, Calvin Ridley, Courtland Sutton, and not much else. We'll see if something changes, but as of now teams might be left reaching for mediocre wide receivers before we reach the end of round three.
Lastly, the linebacker and defensive back depth continues to impress. Our team ranked seven off-ball linebackers in the top 90 players overall, which is a much higher number than many expected just a few short months ago. And when you combine that with twenty cornerbacks and safeties the 2025 NFL Draft class looks fairly strong outside the trenches on defense.
It's still early, but the 2025 NFL Draft class and the Top 100 Big Board here at A to Z Sports is really starting to take shape. We'll be back with more updates as players continue to declare or announce that they're returning to school here in the coming weeks.
