What a season 2024 was for the Denver Broncos. They entered the season with low expectations, but ended up making the playoffs. A productive rookie season from quarterback Bo Nix combined with one of the best defenses in the NFL gave Denver the push they needed to make a postseason run.

As they continue to build around Bo Nix, how can they attack the 2025 NFL Draft?

Denver Broncos 7 round 2025 NFL mock draft

Round 1, Pick 20: Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan

Only two teams had less production out of their tight end room than the Broncos did this season. For an offense needing more playmakers and a playcaller who covets the position, I wouldn't be shocked to see the Broncos invest heavily into that room in the offseason.

Colston Loveland is a rare mover at tight end who fits right into the modern era of the receiving tight end.

Round 2, Pick 51: Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina

The Broncos' running back rotation this year was one of the most inconsistent in the NFL. Javonte Williams stumbled midseason and never recovered, Jaleel McLaughlin is a change-of-pace back, and Audric Estime battled an injury all year.

I'm sure some fans might pick at replacing one North Carolina running back with another, but Omarion Hampton is a talented playmaker in his own right. Ignore the helmet.

Round 3, Pick 85: Quincy Riley, CB, Louisville

Patrick Surtain II is one of the game's few elite cornerbacks, but the nickel spot for the Broncos is far from settled. They need to secure their long-term answer there to keep the defense at an elite level.

Quincy Riley is a chippy, physical corner with the instincts and athleticism to fit right in the slot at the next level.

Round 4, Pick 120: Dante Trader Jr, SAF, Maryland

The Broncos' safety room had its struggles this season, especially opposite of Brandon Jones. They need to continue boosting the talent of the room.

Dante Trader is a versatile, athletic safety prospect with intriguing matchup ability.

Round 6, Pick 189: J.J. Pegues, DT, Ole Miss

An underrated need on the Broncos' defense is boosting the depth of their pass rush rotation on their defensive line. Zach Allen carried the load and others on the defensive line are set to hit free agency.

J.J. Pegues is a fun prospect to scout, as he's such a terrific athlete Ole Miss will line him up in short yardage to run and catch the ball. He can be a complementary athletic piece on the inside of their defense.

Round 6, Pick 195: Kain Medrano, LB, UCLA

Once again reinforcing the defense with this pick. Denver doesn't need a ton of reinforcements to their linebacker room, as I imagine they will re-sign Cody Barton, but the depth of that room needs more talent.

A former wide receiver and safety turned linebacker, Kain Medrano is overshadowed by his teammate Carson Schwesinger but is still a talented playmaker. Medrano is an intriguing athlete with plus coverage ability and can project well to special teams at the next level.

Round 6, Pick 204: Cam Miller, QB, North Dakota State

The Broncos have their quarterback for the foreseeable future with Nix, but backups Jarrett Stidham and Zach Wilson are set to be free agents, and I'm not convinced either returns.

They don't need to invest too much, but I think they should add a backup to Nix who can replicate a similar offense, especially with the quarterback run game.
