Pros of Domani Jackson

  • Prominent traits. Dominates physically with his length, physique, and long speed. Can handle just about anyone at the catch point and line of scrimmage.
  • Collapses downhill. Has the trigger to blow up return routes and screen passes. Can feel his force on contact.
  • Mental toughness. Has played through injuries and returned from benchings with good tape.

Cons of Domani Jackson

  • Technique needs refinement. Relies on traits to make plays. Doesn’t have the cleanest pedal or crossover run.
  • Up and down. Has looked like a star in some games, but has been benched for performances in others. Needs a better baseline of play.
  • Tackling. Want to see him use his frame more at the point of attack. Doesn’t treat the run game the same way he does the pass.

Background

A San Diego, California native, Jackson hails from Mater Dei High School where he finished his high school career with a 12-0 record in 2021 before joining the USC Trojans. He spent the 2023 and 2024 seasons in Southern California before joining the Crimson Tide in 2024 as part of the Kalen DeBoer era. Jackson started 23 games during his tenure in Tuscaloosa, helping lead the Crimson Tide to the College Football Playoff in 2025.

Player Evaluation

Jackson is a bit of a polzraing prospect. If he came out in the 2025 class, there was a chance he was a fringe first-rounder. Some injuries and regression led to him being benched in 2025, and that has obviously dinged his draft stock. He’s a mentally tough player who has undeniable traits like length and long speed. He needs to refine his technique and become more willing in the run game, but he offers high upside in a cornerback room.
