Pros of KC Concepcion
- Concepcion is a twitchy weapon. He’s an explosive mover in every direction, able to evade defenders in open space.
- Has plus-athleticism that translates in his route running. He can snap off routes with ease to create separation, and he has the explosiveness to stack cornerbacks
- Displays excellent skills at the catch point. Despite his size, was 10-15 in contested catch situations in 2025. Keeps his body under control consistently when attacking the football and has strong hands to bring it down.
- He’s tremendous after the catch. Has the speed and quickness to exploit both space and defenders, and can soften angles while evading tacklers. More than 50% of his receiving yards have come after the catch.
Cons of KC Concepcion
- He is a smaller receiver, and it shows up on occasion. He doesn’t have the physicality to fight through contact every time, and can get pushed at the line of scrimmage in press.
- The other way his size shows up is in his wingspan. Concepcion looks to have shorter arms, which will impact his ability to attack the football at the catchpoint in the NFL.
Background
Concepcion entered college football as a three-star recruit and the 82nd-ranked wide receiver per the 247 Sports Composite. He started his career at NC State, where he emerged as a star wide receiver right away as a true freshman, catching 72 passes for 845 yards and 10 touchdowns. His numbers fell off somewhat as a sophomore. Concepcion joined the Texas A&M Aggies via the transfer portal, and combined with Mario Craver ,created one of the best wide receiver duos in the nation. In 2025, Concepcion caught 61 passes for 919 yards and nine touchdowns.
Player Evaluation
Concepcion is one of the best receivers in this class, and arguably the one with the most twitch. He’s an incredibly twitchy player with excellent YAC ability. He can attack every blade of grass on the football field, and he pairs route-running acumen with explosive movements and the speed to stack defenders down the field. His size might be somewhat limiting at the next level, but his level of explosiveness is tremendous, and can be used in any offense.
