The 2025 NFL Scouting Combine has officially wrapped up, marking another milestone passed on the road to the 2025 NFL Draft. Pro Days and the NFL's free agency period are right around the corner, and teams are gearing up to overhaul their teams ahead of the upcoming NFL season.
For the Los Angeles Rams, this offseason is a time of change. They've already traded major free agent swing Jonah Jackson and seemed poised to trade superstar Cooper Kupp in the coming days.
With an uncertain future ahead, the Rams need to nail the 2025 NFL Draft to keep themselves in the NFC Playoff picture.
Los Angeles Rams Post-Combine 2025 NFL 7-Round Mock Draft
Round 1, Pick 26: Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri
With just two wide receivers under contract for next season, the Rams desperately need to find answers here to surround Matthew Stafford with better playmakers this season. The problem is that the type of playmaker they need isn't exactly easy to find. The Rams need a true separator who can open up a defense vertically, creating space for Puka Nacua to work underneath. Those players are a dime a dozen.
So, what's the next step for LA? I figure they need to just get more explosive on offense. Far too often, they couldn't generate a big play needed to keep drives going and found themselves suffocated by better defenses because of it. They need speed and playmaking at the skill positions. I'd argue there is nobody better at exactly that than Missouri's Luther Burden III.
His usage at Missouri makes him a tricky evaluation, but I believe he would be a seamless fit in the Rams' offense and Sean McVay would skip to his office with how excited he would be drawing up plays for Burden.
Round 3, Pick 90: Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama
I think the Rams drafting a quarterback this offseason is pointless, but they remain seemingly committed to attacking arguably the worst quarterback draft in recent memory to find their future after Matthew Stafford. Good luck.
Jalen Milroe is the only non-Cam Ward/Shedeur Sanders quarterback I would bother drafting this season. He has the highest upside of any quarterback in this class, and his high character will pass all of the Rams' checks with flying colors. Who knows, maybe Sean McVay can fix him?
Round 3, Pick 100: Nohl Williams, CB, Cal
The Rams desperately need size and ball skills on the outside of their defense, as their cornerback unit is far from inspiring, especially with the likely departure of Ahkello Witherspoon in free agency.
Cal's Nohl Williams fits perfectly as a seamless fit in their zone-heavy coverage scheme.
Round 4, Pick 126: Jalen Travis, OT, Iowa State
The Rams wisely brought left tackle Alaric Jackson back, but their depth at tackle is woefully thin, and the future at right tackle with Rob Havenstein is murky. They need to attack this position in the offseason, preferably in the draft.
Given the Rams' preference for bigger offensive tackles recently, I'd say Jalen Travis's 6'8, 339-pound frame qualifies to meet those expectations. He's a much better athlete than you would expect with his size, and he has experience at both left and right tackle with the Cyclones. His length, versatility, and play strength, coupled with his athleticism, make him an intriguing developmental option.
Round 6, Pick 192: Dont'e Thornton, WR, Tennessee
The Rams should double-dip at wide receiver in the 2025 NFL Draft to fill out the rest of their offense.
Tennessee's Dont'e Thornton had to play in their gimmicky college offense, but he projects as a dangerous vertical threat at the next level. Imagine what the Rams envisioned Tutu Atwell could be, and Thornton fits that bill while also being able to ride the rides at Disney World.
Round 6, Pick 197: Nick Martin, LB, Oklahoma State
The Rams love explosive Day three linebacker picks, with heavy emphasis placed on the jumps at the NFL Combine.
Nick Martin jumped out the building with a 123" broad jump and a 38" vertical, both of which were among the top marks at the NFL Combine. That's good enough for the Rams, who desperately need to improve their linebacker room but don't like to invest in it.
Round 6, Pick 203: Jay Toia, NT, UCLA
With Bobby Brown III an impending free agent, the Rams have a sizable gap left behind in the middle of their defensive line. Tyler Davis is set to step up in this role, but they need depth here-bad.
Toia eats up double teams and sheds blocks well upfront. He anchors the point of attack well with very good play strength and would be a nice depth piece for their defensive line.
Round 6, Pick 204: Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins, DL, Georgia
The Rams are razor-thin along the defensive line, something that scares me if they have to face a rematch with the Philadelphia Eagles in another playoff run. If Kobie Turner or Braden Fiske goes down, they have very little pass rush behind them in the interior.
A fascinating evaluation due to his usage at Georgia, Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins is an intriguing developmental interior pass rusher with good bend, explosiveness, and quickness. He checks off the boxes the Rams typically look for, and his versatility would help fill out Los Angeles's depth.
