DJ Burns Jr. has become a fan-favorite throughout North Carolina State's impressive run during this year's NCAA March Madness Tournament.

However, his size has made some people question whether he is better suited for the football field. And recent reports suggested that some NFL scouts have had their eye on him for a bit.

But the one person who hasn't commented on all of this is Burns. And now he has.

According to the Associated Press, Burns said that he has "zero" interest in playing football once the basketball season concludes. They added that some of the scouts have noticed his "nimble footwork and suggested he might be an intriguing prospect for the league."

NC State head coach Kevin Keatts had similar sentiments to his player, saying that he can't see this happening. Plus he hasn't received any calls regarding Burns as a football player.

"No way he's going to play football," Keatts said. "I mean, listen, he's got a great touch. He's not that bully that you guys think. You spent some time with him? He's a Teddy bear off the court."

There was some hope that he might consider it, with Burns having played football when he was younger. But basketball was always his true passion.

"Until I got my first scholarship offer (for basketball), and then I quit immediately," Burns explained (per the AP).

While we know anything is possible (I mean, Michael Jordan tried baseball despite being a the best player in the NBA), it seems Burns isn't interested in pursing football… for now 😉.
