There is a lot of front seven talent in the 2025 NFL Draft class. Those defensive line, EDGE, and linebacker groups will be on display beginning on Thursday, February 27th at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine. Over 300 of the best prospects in the class will hope to impress.

Of those three position groups, there are six players that I will have my eyes on most. With big weeks, each has a chance to continue flying up boards. All of them are expected to turn some heads.

DT Kenneth Grant (Michigan)

At a little over 6-3 and 342 pounds, Grant is an unreal athlete at the nose tackle position. His game is very similar to former Kansas City Chiefs first round selection Dontari Poe. Like Poe, Grant has a chance to turn some heads with the testing numbers he could put up.

DT Omarr Norman-Lott (Tennessee)

A part of a really talented Volunteer defensive line in 2024, Norman-Lott managed to go under the radar too often. He finished with four tackles for loss and four sacks this past season, but Norman-Lott was extremely impactful in limited snaps. That first step explosion should be on display in Indy.

EDGE Shemar Stewart (Texas A&M)

There may not be a bigger freak show in attendance next week than Stewart. At 6-5 and 280 plus pounds, he is going to do some unreal things from a testing perspective. Just get your popcorn ready and enjoy his rise to being a top ten overall pick.

EDGE Mykel Williams (Georgia)

Like Stewart, Williams is also an absurd athlete. He’s explosive, long, and incredibly powerful. Williams’ production was never what some imagined but the upside is still immense. NFL scouts are going to let their imagination run away with them while watching the talented EDGE run around.

LB Jihaad Campbell (Alabama)

Linebackers at 6-3 and 245 pounds shouldn’t be able to move like Campbell. He is extremely explosive, but his change of direction skills might be even more impressive. If there is a linebacker who ends up being selected in the first round this cycle, it’s Campbell.

LB Demetrius Knight (South Carolina)

Knight looks like your throwback MIKE linebacker, but he runs like the wind. The range he possesses at nearly 6-2 and 248 pounds is incredibly impressive. It wouldn’t be shocking to post somewhere in the 4.5s in the forty-yard dash. His rise could continue after a strong work in Indianapolis.
