With most of the biggest free agents off the board and some major trades in the books, the 2025 NFL Draft gets clearer and clearer as the days pass. Of course, its unpredictable nature is part of its luster, though.
I ran through a round one mock draft scenario this week. Check out the selections below.
Post-Free Agency 2025 NFL Mock Draft (3-20)
1. Tennessee Titans: Cam Ward, QB, Miami (FL)
This one feels pretty safe at this point. Things could still change, but the Titans' only QB addition this offseason was Brandon Allen so far. They take Ward and hope he's their long-term answer after Will Levis didn't work out. Plus, their offensive line looks notably better than it did this time last year.
2. Cleveland Browns: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
This pick is a bit cloudier. The Browns have kept tabs on multiple veteran quarterbacks but still haven't made a notable move at the position yet. Yes, I'm aware they traded for Kenny Pickett. In this scenario, they take the swing on Shedeur as a look toward the future.
3. New York Giants: Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado
Great outcome for the Giants here. They grab one of the most physically gifted players in the class, who plans to play on both offense and defense. You can argue that Hunter is the top CB and WR prospect, both, in the entire draft class.
4. New England Patriots: Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State
The Patriots lucked out here, with Sanders and Ward kicking off the draft. Carter is many scouts' top overall prospect and immediately slots in as an impact starter for Mike Vrabel's team for the foreseeable future. Home run selection at four.
5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Mason Graham, DT, Michigan
This is a pick that many mocks made a couple of months ago. Well, the need for interior defensive line help still remains, and Graham fits the bill as a top five selection in this class. That defensive line would be incredibly talented and really young still.
6. Las Vegas Raiders: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State
Pete Carroll will value the run game, and Jeanty is one of the top running back prospects over the past few years. This match is made in heaven for Vegas.
7. New York Jets: Armand Membou, OT, Missouri
Welcome to the top seven, Mr. Membou. There's a chance the Mizzou product goes even earlier than this, depending on the first few picks. If not, the Jets need another option to start at offensive tackle after the departure of Morgan Moses.
8. Carolina Panthers: Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A&M
Stewart blew up his draft stock at the NFL Scouting Combine. He's got a ton of tools in the tool box, but he still needs to build the entire tree house. The Panthers will give him that opportunity early on along their DL.
9. New Orleans Saints: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona
T-Mac has received plenty of opinions over the last week after his Pro Day for Arizona. McMillan doesn't have blazing speed, but he is a smooth mover at his size. New Orleans needs another receiving game option, and his fit alongside Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed makes a ton of sense.
10. Chicago Bears: Jalon Walker, EDGE, Georgia
The Bears' offseason has opened a lot of doors here. After getting a lot of offensive line prospects or even Ashton Jeanty mocked here earlier in the process, they actually shift to giving Montez Sweat a partner in crime off the edge. Walker is a unique defender, who has a lot of upside.
11. San Francisco 49ers: Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas
Barron is a really intriguing CB prospect because he can play both inside and outside. Love his fight and energy that he plays with. Charvarius Ward is no longer a piece for SF's defense, but Barron can make an impact as a rookie.
12. Dallas Cowboys: Will Campbell, OT, LSU
Need meets value here for Dallas. Campbell is a potential top five pick, but he slides a bit here. The Cowboys need more help along their offensive line, as they'll go as Dak Prescott and co. go in 2025.
13. Miami Dolphins: Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina
This pick is all about fit for Miami. I love Emmanwori's potential role in Anthony Weaver's defense. He's a mountain of a defender in the box and can be moved all around a defensive unit. Weaver would use him effectively, as he did with Kyle Hamilton in Baltimore.
14. Indianapolis Colts: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
Death. Taxes. Tyler Warren to Indy if he is available. He's a great weapon for their offense in a pivotal year for Anthony Richardson at quarterback for the Colts.
15. Atlanta Falcons: Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia
Williams is one of the most polarizing prospects in the class. With his length and strength, he could become a really consistent force on a DL at the pro level. He'll need some notable development, but the ceiling is exciting for the Bulldog.
16. Arizona Cardinals: Walter Nolen, DL, Ole Miss
The Cardinals are tough for me to predict right now. Defensive line, offensive line, or secondary could all be the pick here. None of those would shock me. Nolen came on strong in his final collegiate season with Ole Miss and would be a spark inside on defense for the Cards.
17. Cincinnati Bengals: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
Welcome back, wideouts. After those extensions, the biggest question remaining is about Trey Hendrickson's future in Cincy. If he doesn't get a new deal, edge rusher makes a ton of sense here. That being said, they need help at cornerback as well, and Johnson has the traits to start early and often at the next level.
18. Seattle Seahawks: Grey Zabel, IOL, North Dakota State
Zabel is a prospect who has been climbing recently when it comes to mock drafts. He's a mauler inside and would project as a potential starting option at guard or center for Seattle. I like this fit a ton.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jihaad Campbell, LB Alabama
For Tampa, this seems simple. If Campbell is there, take him. They need a young linebacker option, and Campbell presents a lot of intrigue as a pass rusher, too. He's an instinctive defender, who can make an immediate impact for the Bucs.
20. Denver Broncos: Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina
RB2 comes off the board! Hampton has been in more round one mocks recently, and I get it. He seems like a running back prospect who Sean Payton may value, and the need is clear after some rough play at the position last year for Denver.
21. Pittsburgh Steelers: Kenneth Grant, DL, Michigan
Grant is a massive interior player who moves way too well for his size. I think he will be a prospect that Mike Tomlin would value, and they just addressed the WR position with the DK Metcalf trade.
22. Los Angeles Chargers: Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
Is this the most consistent selection outside of the top ten for mock drafts? Probably – but for good reason. The Chargers need another potential passing game target for Justin Herbert, and Jim Harbaugh knows Loveland's game better than any other coach.
23. Green Bay Packers: James Pearce Jr., EDGE, Tennessee
Pearce could go in the top twelve, or he could go in round two. Neither would shock me, but Green Bay needs pass rush help off the edge. They value impressive athletes on both sides of the ball, and the former Vol fits that bill.
24. Minnesota Vikings: Derrick Harmon, DL, Oregon
I actually like this board quite a bit for Minnesota. Could go with some offensive line help or a defensive back. Ultimately, Harmon's potential as a game-wrecker inside for Brian Flores spoke too strongly to me.
25. Houston Texans: Tyler Booker, IOL, Alabama
Texans fans, rejoice. You do indeed land a lineman for C.J. Stroud, since Houston is convinced they need a full reshuffling of their OL unit (They did). Booker was a consistent force for the Tide and can start immediately in Houston.
26. Los Angeles Rams: Kelvin Banks Jr., OT, Texas
Banks has been one of those interesting evaluations. He's gone from a potential top five pick to sometimes going in the final 2-3 picks of the first round. Not much has changed about his profile in that time, and the Rams could use another OT option alongside Rob Havenstein. Alaric Jackson is back opposite that spot.
27. Baltimore Ravens: Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall
Green would have a role in year one for the Ravens. For a team with such a talented roster, their edge rush group leave plenty to be desired. Green has prototypical size and dominated at Senior Bowl practice.
28. Detroit Lions: Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College
The BC product continually rises as the draft nears. Ezeiruaku is the Dan Campbell-type as well. He plays with incredible effort and played both the pass and run effectively throughout his college days. Nice fit here.
29. Washington Commanders: Malaki Starks, S, Georgia
Starks will be a steal in this draft, feels like. He's one of the smartest players in the class and did nothing but make plays in big moments for Georgia. Washington needs more playmakers in their secondary. Starks is an example of that.
30. Buffalo Bills: Shavon Revel Jr., CB, East Carolina
Cornerback is still a huge need in Buffalo. They did not sign any of the top FA cornerbacks but did bring back Dane Jackson. Regardless, their upside at CB is still a bit limited. Revel Jr. certainly holds some risk with his injury history, but this is the sort of range he belongs in for this year's class.
31. Kansas City Chiefs: Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State
Simmons is arguably top fifteen talent in the class as long as his medicals check out. Offensive tackle is still a need for Kansas City, and Jaylon Moore just feels like another band-aid pickup. Getting Simmons would be great for Patrick Mahomes.
32. Philadelphia Eagles: Matthew Golden, WR, Texas
Yes, this is a fall for Golden, relative to recent mocks. That being said, there are only so many first-round picks, and the amount of teams with major WR needs has decreased in recent weeks. For the Eagles, they get the speedster out of Texas who won't have too much pressure on himself behind A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith to start his pro career.
