It’s never too early to start evaluating for the 2025 NFL Draft class. Every week is an ability to build a resume for these players, and that continues in week three of college football. One of the more underrated NFL Draft matchups of the weekend takes place during the Kansas-UNLV game, featuring Jayhawks star cornerback Cobee Bryant and Runnin’ Rebel wide receiver Ricky White.

Those two could be matched up a ton on Saturday, making for a battle worth keeping close tabs on. Both players have a chance to rise during the process leading up to next April. They each already have fans in the draft and NFL community.

CB Cobee Bryant (Kansas) – 6000v, 168v

Don’t let the size fool you. Bryant is one of the more physical cornerbacks in the 2025 NFL Draft class. Bryant is one of those players who plays with a subtle confidence, which borders on cockiness, but in a good way. The competitiveness he plays with is infectious. Bryant is a tone setter, which you don’t always get at the cornerback position.

In terms of coverage, Bryant is also an aggressive player. He possesses good body skills and always seems to be around the football, leading to nine interceptions and 16 pass breakups. Bryant’s short area movement skills are also plus caliber. He can quickly redirect and break both back toward the line of scrimmage, and laterally. His long speed is also NFL caliber, showing the ability to turn and run with most wide receivers.

WR Ricky White (UNLV) – 6006v, 173v

After beginning his career with the Michigan State Spartans, White has been tremendous for UNLV the last two seasons. That was especially true in 2023, where he was one of the more productive pass catchers in all of college football. During that campaign, White hauled in 88 receptions for 1,483 yards and eight touchdowns.

What makes White such an imposing cover is how well he finishes down the field. Despite not having great bulk or straight line speed, he has an impeccable ability to track and win contested catches down the field. It defies the odds of his physical skill set, but it’s an area that White consistently wins.

Bryant is going to challenge everything, short, intermediate, and deep. I hope we see a lot of the two matched up. It could be a very underrated and entertaining matchup to look back on during the draft process.
