Christian Barmore is a guy that you do not want to mess with.
And he has proven that towards opposing teams' quarterbacks this season.
So when this offseason comes and the defensive tackle is eligible for a contract extension, the decision for the New England Patriots should be easy.
Pay the man!
Barmore has been a menace all season, and he especially proved that in the Patriots win over the Denver Broncos.
Russell Wilson was tired of seeing him in the Broncos backfield after Barmore recorded a career-high three sacks in the game. And that was before the fourth quarter even began.
At one point, he even had his arms wrapped around Russell Wilson, showing complete power in bringing him down.
This brought his season sack total up to 8.5.
He also finished Sunday night's game with eight total tackles, two tackles for loss, and four quarterback hits.
Barmore was drafted by the Patriots in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft, being selected just behind quarterback Mac Jones.
He is finishing up the third year of his rookie deal and will be entering the final year in 2024.
He has proven to be a crucial player for the Patriots, so they should be doing everything in their power to keep him longterm.
And his agent, Nicole Lynn, wasn't quiet on social media during his big game.
In all honestly, she's not wrong. He deserves that money.
