We are entering a very important year three under head coach Jonathan Gannon for the Arizona Cardinals. Defense is his strong suit, but that side of the football needs to have a pretty big rebuild moving forward. The offense is much more of a mess, and the team needs to add talent around quarterback Kyler Murray. We have seen signs of growth during Gannon's first two years, but a sizable jump is needed. 

The 2025 NFL Draft class offers a nice opportunity for the organization to continue developing the roster. In the final 2025 7-round mock draft, the defense was the priority early. Getting Murray more support, both from a receiving and pass protection perspective, is also another thing to look for. 

Round 1, Pick 16: Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall

While Green might not be the best run defender, he is one of the more impressive pass rushers in the entire 2025 class. His first step is stellar, is bendy, and has a deep pass rush arsenal. The Cardinals need to improve their ability to create pressure as a defense, and Green helps with that very quickly. 

Round 2, Pick 47: Tyleik Williams, DT, Ohio State

There may not be a better interior run defender than Williams in the entire 2025 class. He is a massive defensive tackle that is almost impossible to move at the point of attack. Williams also has enough movement skills to make some plays in the backfield. 

Round 3, Pick 78: Jaylin Noel, WR, Iowa State

With Marvin Harrison Jr. already on the outside, the Cardinals have a great start to a very good wide receiver room. Adding a dynamic slot option like Noel, and you have some interesting inside-outside options. Noel has the chance to become Kyler Murray's best friend early on. 

Round 4, Pick 115: Miles Frazier, OG, LSU

Frazier was very inconsistent in his LSU career, but was at his best this past season. He is a physical offensive guard that also has pretty good movement skills. There is a good chance he develops into a nice swing player inside at the very least. 

Round 5, Pick 152: Jordan Hancock, CB, Ohio State

After playing nickel the last two seasons, some NFL teams view Hancock as a potential developmental outside cornerback. He possesses the length, long speed, and overall movement skills to present some upside. Hancock is the type of player that brings very unique athleticism.

Round 7, Pick 225: Cody Simon, LB, Ohio State

After being projected as a backup heading into the season, Simon earned the starting MIKE linebacker role and became a tremendous player for the Buckeyes. He is a pure run defender, but is assignment correct, physical, and is a good enough athlete to earn a role. Simon should, at worst, make an impact on special teams.
