Arizona Cardinal fans have waited months for this.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Cardinals hosted Ohio State Buckeye's wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. on a top-30 visit on Friday.
This was to be expected, as the Cardinals have been linked to drafting Harrison Jr. with the No. 4 overall pick for months now. Arizona is looking to retool its roster with 11 total selections in the draft and six during the first three rounds.
Wide receiver is arguably the biggest need for the Cardinals after losing Marquise Brown and Rondale Moore during the offseason. Some have speculated that they could take the LSU Tigers' Malik Nabers, who they hosted on a top-30 visit on Wednesday.
Each NFL team can host up to 30 players before the draft to put them through drills, meetings and go over medical records. This is especially important regarding Harrison Jr. – who did not participate in the NFL Combine or his pro day.
It is quite possible that the first three picks of the draft are all quarterbacks, which would leave the Cardinals with the pick of the litter at receiver. Harrison Jr. has been widely regarded as one of the best WR prospects ever and the best overall player in this year's draft.
