Marquise Brown is "expected to play" in the Arizona Cardinals' Week 13 road matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Brown has been nursing a heel injury as of late. The nagging ailment forced the fifth-year wide receiver to miss Arizona’s final two practice sessions ahead of its home game against the Los Angeles Rams, but he still went on to play in the divisional contest. Brown was a standout performer in Week 12, as he caught six passes from quarterback Kyler Murray for 88 receiving yards.

The Cardinals played it safe with Brown’s injury this past week. The versatile wideout did not practice at all ahead of Week 13, and he was ultimately listed as questionable.

During a press conference on Friday, Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon did provide a bit of optimism regarding Brown’s status for Week 13, noting that the wideout is "trending in the right direction" to play against Pittsburgh.

Now, Brown is on par to take part in the Cardinals’ upcoming road clash with the Steelers. Brown is slated to square off with Steelers cornerback Joey Porter Jr. in the contest. Porter has allowed a mere one touchdown catch in coverage in his ongoing rookie campaign.

Brown has tallied four touchdown receptions through 12 games played this season.
