It is an interesting offseason for the Atlanta Falcons. A younger, but exciting team offensively, everyone knows where this team needs to get better. Their defense needs to find some difference makers, and more specifically with their ability to affect opposing quarterbacks.

The 2025 NFL Draft class is littered with talented defensive linemen and the Falcons should look to capitalize on the deep group. That was the priority in this 7-round mock draft despite very few overall selections. The defense got a major overhaul.

Round 1, Pick 15: Derrick Harmon, DT Oregon

While most have penciled in an EDGE in this particular spot, the board did not fall favorably. After playing mostly nose while at Michigan State, Oregon utilized Harmon all over at a lighter weight. Harmon is one of the better penetrators in this class, and has more upside to tap into.

Round 2, Pick 46: Princely Umanmielen, EDGE Ole Miss

You saw the flashes from Umanmielen while a member of the Florida Gators, but he seemingly started to put it together during his lone year with Ole Miss. Umanmielen is explosive, bendy, and has outstanding closing speed. He is one of the most physically gifted pass rushers in the class.

Round 4, Pick 118: Cobee Bryant, CB Kansas

Overlooked due to his size, Bryant is one of the more tenacious defenders you will find in the 2025 class. Despite that size, Bryant has tremendous play strength. He has starter upside both on the outside and inside at nickel.

Round 7, Pick 218: Kaimon Rucker, EDGE UNC

Rucker brings a funky body type to the table, but he is an extremely slippery rusher. He understands how to set tackles up, and has a dynamite inside move. There isn’t much upside as an every down player, but Rucker possesses solid upside as a situational pass rusher.

Round 7, Pick 242: Bru McCoy, WR Tennessee

Due to a string of injuries, McCoy never put together the college career many hoped for. When healthy, he possesses a larger frame with underrated athleticism. McCoy is also very deceptive as a route runner.
