Michael Harris II Knows Ball
The Braves center fielder, who was born and raised in Georgia, grew up a Falcons fan.
Harris was drafted out of Stockbridge High School in 2019 and is under contract with the Braves until 2035.
And Harris knows football considering both prospects that he mentioned are talented, dual-threat quarterbacks that Atlanta really can't go wrong with.
Finding a future franchise quarterback is the Falcons' biggest offseason task and this year's draft just so happens to be stacked with them.
There's Drake Maye (UNC), Bo Nix (Oregon), Shedeur Sanders (Colorado), Michael Penix Jr. (Washington), J.J. McCarthy (Michigan), Caleb Williams (USC) and Jayden Daniels (LSU).
Maye and Williams are projected to be top-five picks while Daniels is a potential top-10 or top-20 pick. Depending on who the Falcons are after, trading up from the eighth overall pick makes sense.
Williams was the Heisman Trophy winner in 2022 after he logged 4,537 passing yards and 42 touchdowns along with 383 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns. He posted another Heisman-caliber season this year, passing for 3,633 yards and 30 touchdowns while adding 136 yards and 11 scores on the ground.
Daniels was 2023's Heisman winner after throwing for 3,812 yards and 40 touchdowns and only four interceptions. He stood out from the rest of the QBs for his astounding 1,134 rushing yards and additional 10 touchdowns.
Maybe the Falcons should start using Harris as a front-office correspondent.
