After kicking off the season 2-0, the Atlanta Falcons fell 20-6 to the Detroit Lions on Sunday afternoon.

Falcons' quarterback Desmond Ridder completed 21 of 38 passes for 201 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions. Atlanta's front five allowed the Lions to sack him seven times, but Ridder is taking the blame for the loss.

"I'm not worried about those guys up front," Ridder told reporters after the game. "Those guys did a great job. I've got to get the ball out of my hands quicker, make better reads. All five of those guys, I love those guys. They did good out there. I don't put it on them, more so myself."

Prior to Week 3, Ridder had been sacked just once in Week 2 and four times in Week 1.

While Ridder put the loss on his back, Falcons' veteran guard Chris Lindstrom thought otherwise.

"Des was great all day," Chris Lindstrom told Falcons' team reporter Terrin Waack. "I mean, it's a hostile environment, a great environment, one of the best I've played in, and Des did a phenomenal job communicating to us up front with the protection. Because it's loud, it's hard."

Atlanta not only struggled to get the ball moving in the air but also on the ground as they were held to just 44 rushing yards.

The Falcons have yet to find consistency on offense but it's still early in the season an Ridder remains optimistic moving forward.

"We know where we want to be at the end of this season (and) we know what this team is supposed to be," Ridder said. "Through three weeks, we haven't even skimmed the surface of what we're supposed to be. We haven't really played as a full team yet."

The Falcons will look to bounce back against the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-2) in London next Sunday.
