The 4-4 Atlanta Falcons will be without Pro Bowl defensive tackle Grady Jarrett for the remainder of the season.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Jarrett suffered a season-ending torn ACL during Sunday's 28-23 loss to the Tennessee Titans.
Jarrett had played just four snaps before exiting Week 8's game early in the first quarter.
The 30-year-old defender started all eight games for Atlanta so far this season, registering 23 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and two passes defended.
Jarrett's season-ending injury is a huge loss for the Falcons, who have not seen a post-season birth since 2017 and will now have to move forward without their longtime team captain and one of their top defenders.
In place of Jarrett, the Falcons have turned to LaCale London, who played a career-high 41 defensive snaps on Sunday. Atlanta also has Calais Campbell, Zach Harrison, David Onyemata and Ta’Quon Graham to work with at the position.
Since joining the league in 2015 and prior to this injury, Jarrett had only missed three games with Atlanta.
