Atlanta Falcons have to get better on offense and continue to evolve around young weapons to improve in 2024.
After going 7-10 in 2023, the Falcons hope to take a step forward with Raheem Morris as the new head coach.
The Falcons will have a top-10 pick at their disposal to get better with and one pick makes sense the most if he is still on the board.
Round 1 (8): QB Jayden Daniels, LSU
The Falcons may have been a playoff team in 2023 with competent quarterback play. Desmond Ridder’s chance at being the starter is gone and they should sprint to the podium if Daniels is there at No. 8. Bringing in Daniels gives them a dynamic playmaker with his legs that threw for 40 touchdowns with LSU last season.
Now, the next pick makes even more sense. Daniels in an offense with RB Bijan Robinson, WR Drake London, TE Kyle Pitts, and this next draft pick is perhaps the NFL’s next big thing.
Round 2 (43): WR Troy Franklin, Oregon
London is a receiver that the Falcons should keep around for the long haul, but they need to continue to build the room. Franklin could come in and be the No. 2 option right away. The Oregon product has the elite speed to be a deep threat, as well as a dude after the catch. Franklin had over 1,300 yards in 2023 and is the easy pick on the board here.
While Franklin needs to add some weight to his 6-foot-3 frame, he seems like a guy who goes first-round most drafts. With the rich volume at the position in 2024, the Falcons luck out here.
