We are less than one month away from the 2025 NFL Draft.

Most of the Atlanta Falcons' free agent signings have been on the defensive side of the ball as they look to revamp the unit. Defensive linemen Leonard Floyd and Morgan Fox will give them a much-needed boost in pass rushing, and cornerbacks Mike Hughes and Mike Ford Jr. will look to anchor the secondary.

Defensive-minded Falcons head coach Raheem Morris may not stop there. Our A to Z Sports college football writer and draft guru Ryan Roberts released a 3-round mock draft on Friday, and predicts that Atlanta will continue to beef of the defense. Let's take a look at and analyze those picks below. . .

No 15: LB Jalon Walker, Georgia

"Is Walker an EDGE or a linebacker, or both? I prefer the former, but the good news, the Falcons have a need at both spots. Walker might be undersized but his explosiveness and closing speed allow him to make a lot of plays." –Ryan Roberts

Believe it or not, the Falcons have never selected a Georgia Bulldog in the first round. That could change this year as Walker would be a nice fit in Morris' scheme. He is a linebacker/defensive end hybrid, making him one of the most versatile players in the draft.

Walker is athletic and fast, giving him the ability to cover the best tight ends and running backs in the NFL. He has a quick first step, which makes him a dangerous pass rusher. Walker is a three-down player who would likely play LB on first and second down, then line up at DE on third down.

No. 46: CB Azareye'h Thomas, Florida State

At 6-foot-2, Thomas has impressive size and length that makes him an ideal press man cornerback, and he is a willing tackler. He needs a little fine tuning on his fundamentals, but that will come with experience. In 2024 he recorded 53 total tackles, four passes defensed, and one interception for the Seminoles.
