The cart came out for Atlanta Falcons starting linebacker Troy Andersen late in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions.

Andersen appeared to have injured his right shoulder, according to ESPN's Michael Rothstein.

It could not be worse timing for Andersen, who had officially cleared concussion protocol ahead of Week 3's matchup.

Andersen made nine tackles before exiting Sunday early.

There was no detailed update from head coach Arthur Smith on Andersen's injury after the game, however Rothstein reported that he saw Andersen's right arm in a sling leaving the locker room.

Following a 2-0 start to the season, the Falcons fell to the Lions 20-6.
