3 Falcons players to watch

  • QB Desmond Ridder: Ridder, who started just four games next season, has a chance to become the face of the Falcons franchise, starting on Sunday.
  • RB Bijan Robinson: Robinson, the Falcons No. 8 overall pick in this year's draft, will lead the backfield in a run-heavy offense against the Panthers. We'll see if he can make the jump from the college to the NFL level look smooth.
  • Kyle Pitts: Pitts has yet to live up to the hype and he wasn't even named a team captain this year. That's mainly because he hasn't been utilized as much as he should and is recovering from a knee injury. However, he will be out there on Sunday.
