The Atlanta Falcons could be without starting linebacker Troy Andersen for the rest of the season.

According to head coach Arthur Smith, Andersen suffered a shoulder and pectoral injury in Sunday's 20-6 loss to the Detroit Lions.

Smith told reporters on Monday that it's "certainly" possible Andersen could miss the remainder of the season, though nothing is official yet.

Andersen has had the worst luck this season after he missed Week 2's win against the Green Bay Packers due to a concussion.

The former 2022 second-round pick currently ranks third on the team in tackles with 18 and has logged half a sack and one tackle for loss.

If Andersen is out for the year then Nate Landman will need to continue to step up in his place, which he's done a solid job with so far and even earned the team's highest PFF grade (87.5) against the Lions.
