Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel and Atlanta Falcons head coach Arthur Smith go way back.

The two go so far back that they started dressing similarly by wearing vests on gamedays.

Smith spent 10 years in Tennessee (2011- 2020), coaching three seasons under Vrabel where he was a huge reason for Derrick Henry's success before he moved on to Atlanta.

Now, Vrabel and Smith will meet on opposite sidelines for a Week 8 matchup on Sunday afternoon in Music City, likely both wearing a vest.

Smith was asked about his relationship with Vrabel ahead of their matchup and a made note that a potential vest swap is on the horizon.

“We talk a lot," Smith said during his Wednesday press conference. "I wouldn’t be surprised if he tried to hit me up about a vest swap. Is that what you’re asking? A vest swap? I’ll be waiting for Vrabes to hit me up on that.”

Vrabel said it would happen on one condition: "as long as he gets rid of that miserable mustache."

Smith responded by going on an even bigger stage, ESPN's The Pat McAfee Show, where he expressed nothing but gratitude toward his ole pal.

"There's a ton of respect and gratitude toward Mike variable," Smith said. "There's so much respect on my end for the impact he's had on my career but now it's our job to go on there and win the game. It's a big game for us."

However, he also took advantage of the spotlight to call out Vrabel for having a "miserable" stache just like his not too long ago.

"Little disappointed that Vrabes hasn't grown his mustache back. I know he made some shots fired over the parameters of our vest swap. Actually, the challenge should be Vrabes should grow his stash back because that was the most pure Northeast Ohio thing I've ever seen. He had it in 19. Wish he would grow it back, but I guess he won't."

The Falcons enter this outing 4-3 and first in the NFC South.

As for the Titans, they have won just two games this season, however, they are coming off plenty of rest following their bye week.

Tennessee currently leads the rivalry, 8-7.
