The Baltimore Ravens lost much more than it gained last offseason during free agency.

Jadeveon Clowney, Ronald Darby, Devin Duvernay, Gus Edwards, Patrick Queen, John Simpson, Geno Stone, and Kevin Zeitler all departed from the time while Derrick Henry was the lone notable addition.

You could argue Henry alone was enough to make for everyone who left.

Not only was Henry a massive success, the Ravens planned to take advantage of the same strategy they've perfected over the last 30 years. It's a strategy that has them out in front of the NFL once again.

Ravens lead the way with four compensatory picks in 2025 NFL Draft

Baltimore is one of three clubs to have been awarded four compensatory draft picks for the upcoming NFL Draft along with the Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins. The picks are as follows:

  • Round 4: No. 136 overall
  • Round 5: No. 176 overall
  • Round 6: No. 210 overall
  • Round 6: No. 212 overall

This gives the Ravens a total of 11 picks in the draft with five in the first four rounds as well. They ended up with nine picks in 2024 and just six in 2023. 11 would be the most picks for Baltimore since the 11-player class of 2022 that featured Kyle Hamilton, Tyler Linderbaum as first-round selections and Isaiah Likely as one of six fourth-rounders.

Four compensatory picks also ensures the Ravens will retain the title of having the most in NFL history at 60.

Top five teams with the most all-time compensatory picks

  • Baltimore: 60
  • Dallas: 58
  • Green Bay: 53
  • Los Angeles Rams: 51
  • New England: 48

It's a process the Ravens specialize in more than any other franchise. Baltimore loves to compile draft picks and typically uses them wisely in order to replace players who leave for other teams in free agency. It's the most sustainable way to construct a roster year-after-year if your personnel and scouting department are on the same page. The Ravens do in fact have that luxury.
