Already, the Baltimore Ravens may have caught a massive break heading into Week 1 of the NFL regular season.
The Kansas City Chiefs will be without wide receiver Marquise Brown Thursday night in an AFC title game rematch, The Associated Press reported Friday.
Brown, who is one of the Chiefs' key free-agent signings, dislocated his sternoclavicular joint in his shoulder while making a catch in their preseason game against Jacksonville.
However, he was able to have his shoulder set without needing surgery, which has helped to accelerate his recovery time to 4 to 6 weeks, giving him a chance to play in Week 1.
But despite appearing on the practice field this week, Brown did not take part in any real work.
Now he won't play, giving the Ravens a massive break in a game that is a must-win out of the gate.
