The 2025 NFL Draft may be in the books, but the Baltimore Ravens could still look to add more talent to their roster.
The Ravens have been busy during the offseason, re-signing key players such as offensive linemen Ronnie Stanley and Ben Cleveland, as well as fullback Patrick Ricard. They signed free agent wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and cornerback Chidobe Awuzie, and made 11 picks during the draft.
The Ravens are on a run of disappointing postseason losses, and need to get over the hump and into the Super Bowl with Lamar Jackson as their starting quarterback. One move they could make that would signal being all-in on a championship run in 2025 would be trading for Miami Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey. Nick Shook of NFL.com believes that Baltimore would be a good landing spot for Ramsey.
"After injuries ravaged its secondary in 2023, Baltimore has routinely attempted to add depth to the group over the last two offseasons. Last year, the Ravens drafted Nate Wiggins near the end of the first round. This year, they added Chidobe Awuzie in free agency and drafted Robert Longerbeam in the sixth round. Although Baltimore's CB room might seem crowded, if there's any team that consistently kicks the tires on known veterans looking to chase a ring, it's the Ravens. The financial side might not work out, but adding Ramsey would fit with the franchise's tendency to welcome in proven players who have the chance to make an instant impact — and further strengthen a roster that is already expected to contend for a title." — Nick Shook
Ramsey would give the Ravens' CB room a nice boost and really solidify their secondary. In nine NFL seasons Ramsey has recorded 534 total tackles, 24 interceptions, 108 passes defensed, six forced fumbles, and three sacks. He has been named a First-Team All-Pro three times and a Pro Bowler seven times.
However, Ramsey would come with a hefty contract, in which Baltimore would have to work some salary cap magic to take on. Spotrac has the breakdown on X below:
If the Ravens really want Ramsey, they could find a way to make it work, but there is definitely a level of risk that comes with acquiring that contract for a 31-year-old player.
