The Baltimore Ravens have ruled out wide receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and Rashod Bateman from their Week 4 road matchup against the Cleveland Browns. Beckham is still dealing with an ankle injury, while Bateman has been nursing a nagging hamstring ailment.

The Ravens currently have a mere three healthy wideouts on their 53-man roster, including Zay Flowers, who may square off with Browns cornerback Denzel Ward in Week 4. Ward has been watching film on Flowers as of late, and there is much that stands out to him about the former Boston College standout.

“Yeah, little quick guy able to make plays after the catch," Ward said on Thursday. "Definitely a guy that we’re going to have to lock into when he’s out there on the field. Big play guy for those guys able to stretch the field.

"He lines up everywhere. So I mean, just got to see where he’s at and lock him down, make a play on him."

Flowers has emerged as a go-to wideout for Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson this season. The rookie wide receiver currently leads all Ravens wideouts in both receptions (21) and receiving yards (188). He also boasts an 84.0 percent catch percentage through three games played this year.

As mentioned, the Ravens will be without Beckham and Bateman against the Browns, so Flowers could end up seeing an increase in targets in the contest, and he may also see plenty of Ward on the field.
